Tanya’s Home exists to empower mothers on their journey to recovery and reunification, fostering safe, supportive environments where families can thrive together.
We envision a future where every child grows up with their mother in a stable, loving home. By breaking cycles of trauma and addiction, we create lasting positive change for families and communities.
Compassion – We provide a respectful, understanding space for mothers and children in need.
Empowerment – We equip mothers with tools and support to overcome barriers, rebuild their lives, and nurture their children.
Community – We foster a strong, inclusive network that supports recovery, healing, and family stability.
Child-Centred Care – Our programs are designed to protect and restore the mother-child bond, ensuring children grow up in stable, loving environments.
We welcome all mothers in active addiction and those facing involvement with child protection services, providing a safe and compassionate environment for their recovery journey. Tanya’s Home offers culturally informed care for all mothers, with priority given to those escaping family violence and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander mothers, recognising the unique challenges and higher rates of child removal they may face.
While we work towards opening our rehabilitation facility, we are providing outreach case management, counselling, court support, advocacy, and referrals and support for women escaping family violence.
A structured, nurturing program for mothers who have lost custody, focused on recovery and family reunification.
A flexible option for mothers who still have custody or who cannot leave their current residence, offering essential recovery support within their daily lives.

Here’s where we are in our journey:
Registered Charity Status – We are officially registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) as a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI), allowing us to provide tax-deductible donations and ensuring transparency in our operations.
Securing Initial Funding – Through grants, donations, and community support, we are working diligently to raise the funds necessary to establish our first rehabilitation facility. These contributions will support safe accommodation, comprehensive recovery programs, and family reunification services.
Building Partnerships – We are establishing relationships with local organisations, service providers, and community groups to create a robust support network for our future residents. These partnerships will provide vital resources for the women and children we serve.
Waitlist for Residential Rehabilitation – While we work towards opening our facility, we are maintaining a waitlist for mothers in need of residential rehabilitation.
Outreach Support – Due to delays in securing funding for a property, we are currently offering outreach support to ensure mothers still have access to case management, counselling, and advocacy while we work towards opening our rehabilitation facility.
